Sustainability and essential oil production: An in-depth look at patchouli, lavender and organic essential oil production, and its impact on global sustainability
Join David Tomlinson, founder of Absolute Aromas, as he explores with us his experiences with essential oil production and sustainability. David founded Absolute Aromas in 1994 and has spent the last 27 years dedicated to the essential oil industry. He believes passionately in the quality of essential oils, which has meant building close relationships with essential oil producers around the world. Specializing in high-quality natural products brings with it responsibilities to our planet. As such, David has been actively investigating the sustainability of essential oils by visiting many suppliers and studying the efforts that they have been making.
David is on the Executive Committee of IFEAT (International Federation of Essential Oils and Aroma Trades), which represents the global producers and traders of essential oils. He is a Director of the Aromatherapy Trade Council, and a Trustee of the Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice in Farnham, UK.
