About the Event
Did you know that the Philippines is one of the most megadiverse countries in the world hosting over 5% of the entire world's flora in an area not even 1% of the world's total. Get to know some of the aromatics popularly sourced from the tropical islands of the Philippines: Elemi (Canarium luzonicum & Canarium ovatum) and Ylang Ylang (Cananga odorata). Dive deeper as you learn the difference between the two Canarium species endemic to the country and experience first-hand the latest distillations available in the Philippines.

Introducing the Ylang Ylang Hydrosol
Jirbie (www.couchwasabi.com) is a graduate of The School for Aromatic Studies. She is a current Board Member for the Alliance of International Aromatherapists (AIA), functioning as the Media Chair and the Philippine Representative.
Jirbie is the Philippine Ambassador for Airmid Institute and a member of the Education Committee. She is also the founder of the Alliance of the Philippine Aromatherapists (APA), the first professional aromatherapy organization in the Philippines, and the first aromatherapy certification school in the country, Aromatherapy Institute of the Philippines.
As one of the pioneering Certified aromatherapists in the country, Jirbie has been invited to participate in various public speaking engagements about aromatherapy since 2018 and has been published in various aromatherapy journals. She continues to empower and inspire her aromatherapy students to pursue formal studies in aromatherapy as she believes that proper education can help elevate the current aromatherapy industry in the Philippines. www.couchwasabi.com
